5 Ingredients Butter Muffin


A dessert with just 5 ingredients? Easy! This was the first ever "cake like thing" I baked and it came out a success! It tastes SO great~ :D

  It has golden brown crispy top layer and soft & sweet centre. Just 5 ingredients and TA-DAAA! Here comes the muffin... And i'm sure no matter how old you are, you'll enjoy this~ :]

[Adapted and slightly modified from wikiHow: How to Make Fairy Cakes with Self Raising Flour]

Prep time: about 15 minutes
Cook time: 15-20 minutes

Level: Easy

Makes: 6

Ingredients:
• 125g butter (at room temperature)
• 125g sugar (or less)
• 125g self-raising flour
• 2 eggs
• 2 tbs milk

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180∘c/ 350∘F/ Gas Mark 4. 
2. Fill a non-stick 6 holes muffin tin with 6 paper cases.
3. Beat the butter and sugar together until creamy and light.
4. Carefully add one egg and stir it in until the mixture is smooth. Do the same with the second egg.
5. Sieve the flour into the mixture in the bowl.
6. Add the milk and beat everything together until smooth.
7. Drop a big spoonful of the mixture into each of the 6 cases. 

8. Cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until it looks golden.

9. Enjoy while its still warm & the top still crispy! ;)
